This week we will examine our relationship to thoughts that arise in the mind. we will see that you are not your thoughts and thoughts are not facts. In short, we will see the not-self nature of thoughts. Mindfulness is a useful tool when we experience runaway thoughts. Our aim is to allow them to enter our awareness and notice them instead of becoming invested in them or trying to push them away. Remember, what we resist persists. With the pandemic we may have fear-based thoughts that cause us to suffer. This s not a problem. We don’t need to try and block them or believe them; we can simply notice them and let them be.
