We have all likely heard of mindfulness, and may have a definition in our mind about what it is. This talk will explore mindfulness at a deeper level, pointing out how it can be a key component in the attainment of truth and the cessation of suffering and stress. We will discover that mindfulness alone is not enough for deeper insights and realizations about truth to arise. It must include effort, investigation and intention. We will examine Right Mindfulness, or Samma Sati, and see how it can deployed to develop wisdom and understanding, decreasing unwholesome states of mind, increasing wholesome ones and leading us to more peace and clarity.
