How can we have a sense of purpose in practice and avoid becoming entangled in striving? Wee need effort or nothing happens – simple live out our habits. The key is the balance between effort and surrender. Can we make effort, be purposeful, and at the same time surrender to what is happening, to the natural unfolding of our experience?
